Summary/Main points Thousands of black soldiers were trained in the confederate army and sometimes were cooks and laborers.  Some of the evidence given in the story were fabricated in order to send the message that the stories were real. The story was to portray that people believe in anything that is given to them. Students use research in libraries for their essays and research paper. The internet is also a good source to connect their resources on their topic and give students a better idea.  Quotes "One of the “credible” documents teachers put into children’s hands claimed that the Diary of Anne Frank was a fake; that piles of corpses from Auschwitz were murdered Germans, not Jews; and that there are are “compelling reasons why the so-called Holocaust never happened.”(15) -Not everything can be credible which this claim states that Anne Frank never happened.  "The real question is whether that information, once found, should be believed." -Everything...

How do you feel about the student walkouts at high schools all over the country right now? What is your experience with student activism? I feel that the walkouts are just because they respect the 17 people who died from gun violence. Students across the country are rallying against gun violence. Gun violence has been a prevalent topic in the country. Students use this time to have a voice to speak up against the government since they don't have the right to vote. My experience with student activism is walking out for teacher's salary and having better pay in high school. Teacher are the one's building up for America's youth and are treated badly.

Pw: Cover letter #2

My writing needs to expand and further explain my support. I haven't added any transitions to my essay in order to improve my essay.

Peer Draft 2

PW: Revision vs Editing

I personally revise the grammar, formatting mistakes and structure. After fixing, I edit the mistakes out and look for any misguided details. I sometimes redo the paper if they are many mistakes and that the whole thing is messed up. In peer groups, I check for context and areas they need to improve on. I look for the any errors or irrelevant content that has nothing to do with the essay. I also give judgement about the things that they can fix and repair.

PW: What are the top 3 most important reasons to use transitions

Transitions mark the connection to your sentences and paragraphs. Tell readers where the text is headed either in the same or new direction. Transitions can help move 1 sentence together and combine 2 sentences into one. Creates a paragraph flow and connects the "whole"to the paragraph and having a condensation. Chronological timing for first, then, and last.

Reading Blog #8 They say I say

Main points Connect the ideas of others with their own ideas to each other. It is important that you have clear relations between one statement and the next. Use transition points, add pointing words, develop a set of key terms and phrases for each text you you write. Repeat yourself with a difference.  Quotes  "What makes such writers so hard to read, in other words is that they never gesture back to what they just said or forward to what they plan to say" (106) -This quote can help writers expand more on their work to improve upon. "Notice that some transitions can help you not only to move one sentence to another, but to combine two or more sentences together." (111) The use of transitions enables the writer to strengthen the sentences with two.  "Playing with key terms also can be a good way to come up with a title and appropriate" Some terms can determine how you want to title the main idea of your subject. Question How does the strategies ...
